The 2009 Winter Exhibition at High Meadow opened on Saturday 21st November 2009. As usual, the Winter Exhibition took the form of a retrospective look at the best of my paintings created during the past year - with watercolours, pastels, acrylics, charcoal and mixed media works, covering a wide range of subjects - local and more varied landscapes, flowers, wildlife, still life, figures and abstract paintings all found a place in the exhibition.
This year there was an extra twist to the displays, because some of the paintings were there as a taster of the Spring, Summer and Autumn exhibitions that will follow in 2010. In the spring I look forward to presenting, "Legs and Co" - an exhibition dedicated to figure paintings. In the summer, "This Lincolnshire" will be the theme for an exciting new collection of work inspired by our beautiful County, and in the autumn the exhibition will be entitled, "On Our Travels" - a collection of paintings inspired by visits further afield.
For those keen to start painting, and more experienced painters who might like to join in on our painting workshop days, there was also a chance to look at some of the paintings from previous workshops and perhaps get a few hints of future subjects that might appear on the next workshop list!
