The Plan: Polly has been persuaded to
organise another 5 day, 4 night painting holiday - this time to discover
the beautiful countryside in and around the Peak District National Park.
When: Monday 23rd August to Friday 27th
August 2010
Where: Staying at the "Moorside
Grange Hotel and Spa" - www.moorsidegrangehotel.com - a member of
the Best Western group of hotels, near Higher Disley.
What's included:
Return travel from Horncastle to Cheshire and excursions to painting venues
by "luxury air conditioned coach"
4 nights accommodation with full English breakfast and choice of excellent
evening meals.
En suite rooms with T.V, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities
etc.
Large conference room facilities for indoor painting and evening demonstrations
and tuition with Ash.
Huge heated indoor swimming pool and scary fitness room.
Varied selection of painting venues to inspire everyone.
What's not included:
Lunches. Bar meals and local cafes will always be available
Entry fees to places of interest. ( If you have one, bring your National
Trust card for one venue!)
Use of Hotel golf course and spa health treatments ( can be arranged individually)
General Idea:
Leave Horncastle on Monday 23rd August at around 8am, to arrive at our
first location around lunchtime, leaving us a good afternoon session to
explore / sketch, before arriving at the hotel in time to settle in before
dinner. If I can get you off the golf course, or out of the swimming pool
and fitness/health spa, we will enjoy 3 full and 2 half days of wonderful
scenery, painting instruction, evening demonstrations and relaxation,
arriving home on the evening of Friday 28th August. Weather permitting,
we will discover some varied and beautiful scenery in landscaped parks,
wild National Parkland, pretty villages and riverside beauty spots. The
hotel has extensive lounge and bar facilities (obviously!) and special
dietary requirements can be catered for (please give Polly all the necessary
information) so once again, we will be very comfortable and well fed and
watered!
All the rooms are double or twin, but singles are available at a supplement
of £20 per night - why not pair up and save money?

on two sharing twin bed / double accommodation
